People generally outline opinion by what they see and later they may judge others by what they think.The first impression comes from your physical appearance(a distant look) that is why we are acutely sensitive about it, rest other noticeable points are secondary(you go close and interact)require for judgement.
Multi-million people exist in this world. Here words are reflected from the view of an unknown gal.
desire attention more or less,
astound by the glamor around
and the first glimpse at a lass.
The mindpower doesn't count,
the pure heart is veiled
when alluring looks isn't there .
Brunette skin,curls of light hair,
bulky form with bewildered expression,
still trying for a perfect first impression ?
Hiding her disappointment,
She moved as she failed...
Time to change,
she has to change,
skim off the fat,
from messy to mesmeric,
from eyesore to eyeful,
from grotesque to pretty.
Altered looks,
altered the fortune.
Now capable of captivating many hearts,
Recalling her own,which was before broken into parts.

When we live in a society maximum times when we bring change within us the reason is SECOND person. We don't want the change, we change because someone else wants us to change.
Sorry , but i can not agree Reicha. I think we change because we want to change. We see lives from other's eyes not others. It's very easy to say that situations have changed me but i did not want to. If i change , If I learn is because I want to . I want to love and to be loved. I want to do good.
We wear a mask.We pretend. We are not unique . We are common.Common on love. We are responsible for each and every action of ours.
We fear. We fear of ourselves. We are not sure. We are not confident. We do things which people want us do(and not we want to do) , That's what you are saying but we are responsible for it , not the society and not the situations.

It's almost a wonderment how people are so quick to judge others. They do not think that the Raavan-like countenance might hide a heart of gold but the Prada-adorned lass might just pull out the rug from under you.
And personally people have always told me that my first impression s always one of attitude/high-and-mighty:( But I never mean it to be that way.
first impressions can be deceptive...in our quest to impress sometimes we forget ourselves....

@Ashish --> Here i just wanna talk about females( "We" term is used for both).Well i do respect your points but they are from the perspective of those approx 10-20% women who are independent,not bound to any issues and can live their life in their own ways. They are free to take their own decisions, change when they like to and they least care about the social talks but maximum gals/women in our country or even if you consider world are dependent on their family( by chance or by choice) due to social restrainers because of this reason their thinking is confined to what other people think about them. Their own point of view is never respected by others and thus they have learnt to keep them behind others opinion.

Those people who remain quite in the crowd/seen busy at times, are often considered as the one with high attitude,arrogant etc but later when you connect with them you realize they are gem.

I completely understand what you mean to say. Lot of factors , Yes it has a lot of factors , environment. I agree to it completely considering a specific set of people(not only women). Its beautifully written , I have no doubt about it. I know what you mean when you say (10-15 %) of girls and they change when they need to. I was never talking about those high society one's you can relate to. I was talking about a different 'change' word than what you were thinking. Change for the good , change not to expect , change to live for your dreams not others was what i meant. I am talking about a common man/woman. May be, i don't know if i am able to explain each and everything i am thinking of right now. Sometimes words don't mean anything. I think what is specific is general. that's all about poetry. So i was looking at your poem in a very general way.Not only about men , not only women. I have experienced the change.I have been through that gradual process. We need to change ourselves for the good, to improve ourselves simply for the betterment and the world shouldn't be the reason for this change :)
But when we live in a society sometimes we need to be concerned about it.
I took the case of gals because i observed that this theme(looks/attraction) are more concerned for gals than that in men's life.
I am glad when i see someone taking pain to visit again and check my reply to their comment and discuss more about it :)

Judging somebody by their appearance is the worst thing that we could do. We could make the most terrible mistakes in doing so. But that doesn't stop us from doing that, isn't it? I've learnt my lessons,in a painful way.
